PRC:A RULES
Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, let's set up some guidelines for this here competition.

1. We start by announcing the piece chosen for remixing. 
The song has to follow Anime Remix submission guidelines for source music.

2. You have 3 weeks to make a remix. Submit it by posting a link in the thread. 
Please try not to use temporary webhosting (yousendit) and hosts with low bandwidth limits (geocities). 
If you require hosting, contact me or Doulifee. When the remixing deadline hits, 
I will post a zip or rar with all the files. That way voters can be sure they have all the entries before they vote. 
I'll also change the filenames and tags of the mixes to be consistent.

3. The next 5 days are spent voting. 
Everyone who wants to (this is the "people" part) submits votes by private message to me. 
Rank your top 3 choices: 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place. 
Every first place vote gives a song 3 points, second place gives it 2 points, and 3rd place is 1 point.
--3a. REMIXERS: You cannot vote for your own song. When you vote, you automatically get 3 points toward your song.
--3b. The winner of the previous week's competition counts for double, because s/he picked the song.
--3c. Do not post your votes to the topic thread. You can discuss the songs but do not say how you voted. 
Remember, PM your votes to me.

4. After the voting period is up, I tally up the points for all the votes, and declare the winner.
--4a. At this point, you can explain how you voted and why.
--4b. Remixers, especially the winners, are recommended to submit their mixes to Anime Remix after the competition. 
You can work on your song some more and submit an improved version, or just submit the same file.

5. The winner picks a new song to remix next time. When the second week is up, I'll post the new source material and we start anew.

6. Unlike in the videogame PRC and the ORC, the previous week's winners can participate. 
(This is because AR has a small enough population to begin with!) 
They are asked not to submit a mix that they started before the official contest began. 
This is on the honor system, guys, but be fair.
--6a. "The Hat Trick Rule": If you win three in a row, I pick the song, not you. 
You are not eligible to win the next round. Your vote still counts as double, though. 
You can make an entry if you want, but it is automatically disqualified. 
(You can still submit it to the AR judges' panel!)

7. I can enter. I will not cheat. If you don't believe me, PM your votes to Doulifee too.
